What are the types of wood finishes?
May 13,2024

Wood veneer materials are widely used in home decoration. Furniture, doors, window frames, and many others often use wooden veneers.
There are many types of veneer, and solid wood veneer refers to cutting solid wood layer by layer into thin pieces.
Typically, there are thicknesses of 3mm and 9mm, with 3mm being commonly used for surfaces such as furniture, walls, and doors in home decoration. The thicker 9mm veneer is less commonly used in high and medium grade fixtures.
The cut wood veneer also has natural scars and knots, so it is not very convenient to use on a large area. In addition, some precious wood, even if cut into veneer, is still very expensive. In order to imitate this precious wood grain effect, technology wood and melamine board were randomly produced.
Melamine board, strictly speaking, is not a type of wood veneer. It is a collective term for a type of board, and it is a finished product that can be directly used after processing. The paint free sandwich panel we are currently using is a type of melamine board. If you hire a master to make cabinets at home, most of them use this type of board. It is a wood grain effect synthesized with melamine on the surface of various substrate boards, just like the principle of printing images on paper, melamine wood grain covers the substrate board. Melamine board is widely used for its moisture resistance, color resistance, and deformation resistance, including indoor composite doors and cabinet doors. Tech wood is a type of wood that is processed from inexpensive fast-growing wood to produce various wood grain requirements. Because the base wood is cheap, this tech wood veneer is much cheaper than the original wood grain
